Hi. My name is Nick and I'm an alcoho...no, not really. Actually, I teach English and Drama at the Lafayette County C-1 High School. I'm also the treasurer for the Higginsville Theatre Company, and I'm very active with the youth group at my church (First Baptist). I like such things as long walks on any tropical beach that doesn't have dangerous animals on it, reading novels by the fireside on cold winter evenings, cliches, and being sarcastic.

My dance experience is...actually, it isn't; as of a few months before the competition, I am not much of a dancer. That's part of the reason I'm really looking forward to this competition. I'm a very competitive person and I'm a quick study. Other competitors beware, because I'm in it to win!

Carla has been entertaining audiences since the age of five. She has formal training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Ballroom. Carla was the captain of the dance team in high school and received a dance scholarship to Barton County Community College where she studied journalism. After college, Carla accepted a job with National Dancers Association, teaching as high school dance camps across America. Carla began dancing with the Swingsters in the spring of 2006. She currently teaches Jazz, Tap, Ballet and stretching at the Academy of the Arts, and at Louis and Company teaching Ballroom, Latin and Swing.
