I am known as Virginia or "Gina", pronounced with a short i, from Higginsville, Class of 1993. In May of 2001, I graduated from Central Missouri State University. My education includes a Double Major: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Specializing in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Photography Specializing in Media Photography.
I love to observe life and nature and capture it to share with everyone! I live for this, and now I get to make a living at it! Taking pictures of what I love to see, hear, smell, touch, and experience. I consider myself an Editorial Photographer. I came across a phrase that defines me to a T, I would like to share it with you:
"These are photos of everyday slices of life, the insights into the human condition, the events and vignettes and moments you spot and then hurry to capture with your camera. They show people involved, doing things; they feature specific geographical locations; they give a 'real' look at every aspect of human activity and the world of nature. They have got to tell you something that you haven't seen, or touch you in some way emotionally. These photos are produced with the photographer following her own interest areas, and targets certain segments of life and culture that she enjoys photographing."
I retired from the field of Fire and EMS officially in October of 2005. I truly enjoyed serving the Johnson County Community and the Citizens of Lexington. The 10 years that I spent in that field gave me some remarkable experiences I will not soon forget. I loved being there to help people when they were in need; making a difference!
In October 2003, we completed an unbelievable project- Building our own Home! Located between Higginsville and Warrensburg, we are truly blessed with the Country atmosphere. My 2 girls- Brooke and Sara enjoy the country life!
In 2007, we completed the New and Improved County Line Portrait Experience (boasting over 2,000 sq feet for our Clients to enjoy) Things are developing very nicely, providing for unlimited photographic opportunities! Heaven on Earth! Watch for our Annual Spring Bash and come have a blast, enjoying live music, fun and games for all ages!
Coming from a Community Service background, I enjoy participating and providing complimentary portraits for: our Military Service Personnel twice a year with our "Parents With Deployed Spouses" program (we also participate with the Operation Love Reunited Program), the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep program for parents suffering the untimely loss of a child, and the American Childrens Pediatric Charity Guild for ill children.
